Building Change
Building Change is Richmond ToolBank’s group volunteer program for corporate and community teams looking to give back in a truly unique way.
We design turnkey, one-of-a-kind give-back experiences that combine team building with hands-on tool training. Corporate and community teams of all backgrounds come together, at our warehouse or at your location, to roll up their sleeves and build placemaking furniture for local organizations in need. The result is something meaningful for the Richmond region and a deeper sense of connection within your own team.
Bring your team together for a Building Change experience and leave your mark on the Richmond community.

Sponsor a Build!
Sponsoring a Building Change project is a powerful investment in the people and places that make our region thrive. Your contribution acts as a vital catalyst for community growth, providing the essential resources and professional-grade tools needed to transform raw materials into meaningful assets. By empowering your team to build, you are delivering high-quality, handcrafted furniture to a wide network of local partners.
Our builds make a difference in every corner of Richmond. Recent project recipients include Henrico County Public Schools, the Boys & Girls Club, Richmond City Parks, local youth-serving organizations, and the Scott’s Addition neighborhood community.
