It's incredibly inspiring to see your familiar faces, ready to make a tangible difference and help us build a stronger Richmond, one tool at a time.

What do our volunteers do?

You may be wondering , what do our volunteers do? Our volunteers dive into tasks such as filling and returning tool orders, tool cleaning, branding, sharpening, and general upkeep, warehouse organization, and inventorying surplus tools. Whether you're an individual, a returning volunteer, or part of a group, your experience level doesn't matter – we're happy to have you.

Here's what one of our volunteers, Thomas Cambisios has to say:

"When I retired, I wanted to be reminded of the good things going on in the world. People are relentlessly pelted with negative news and stories that seemed designed to reinforce the idea that everything is going downhill. ToolBank and my other volunteering gigs remind me of all the good that happens that doesn't make the headlines."
